Facts and figures Credit Crisis
This financial crisis is the biggest since 1930. Many observers say that this
one is even bigger. Because it is not only a credit crisis, also the stock
markets lost 30-50% of their value last year, big financial institutes
bankrupted or are kept alive with huge governmental loans and the confidence of
the 'normal citizens' in the financial credibility is lower then ever. This
crisis is spreading over many countries and most parts of our economies are hurt.

When more then 4 area's are weak we speak of a disaster, here we have:
 | credit crisis (sub-prime loans, in combination with declining prices for
houses in US. Here the crisis became visible). The spreading of derivatives,
- combinations of these loans, mortgages, bad/good stocks and more all over the
world -, did the rest |

economy |
 | fall stock markets |

 | banks hesitate to lend money: at this moment the crisis affects the 'normal economy',
our day to day life, shopping, buying things like houses, cars |
 | housing markets in many countries are collapsing |
 | huge amounts of money needed to save industries, trillions of dollars |
 | low confidence of citizens/banks/companies in the near future |
 | low confidence of citizens in business leaders, like CEO's CFO's |
